The game starts off with an EX-SOLDIER jumping off a train in Midgar, his name is Cloud Strife but you're able to name him differently if you'd like. The game's storyline is that there is another former SOLDIER named Sephiroth who wants to "revive his mother" by collecting parts of her from different military labs. Why would they have her parts, you ask? well because she isn't really a human, she is a monster that was getting studied by the military because of the power had within. Anywho, Sephiroth is out to revive his "mother", Jenova, and together they will slaughter humanity or something like that. What you are supposed to do is to find sephiroth and stop him. Along the way you will meet up with different kinds of characters that will fight besides you.
