>>  Call of Duty: Black Ops review scores

The Call of Duty: Black Ops review scores are out this morning and the professionals are ranking the game as "worthy." On Gamespot this morning, an amateur reviewer gave the game a score of 3.5 which is apparently based on first impressions.

Jeff Gerstmann of Giant Bomb writes the following:
To be clear, Black Ops is not a Vietnam game. But the middle of it most definitely is, complete with cliched examples of licensed music from the era. At one point, you're traveling down a river, blasting "Sympathy For The Devil" by the Rolling Stones. I just sort of rolled my eyes at this point.

From IGN:
The artificial intelligence of both your friendly soldiers and the enemies you face is pretty poor. Both friendly and enemy soldiers behave like fools for most of the campaign. There are also a few design flaws and annoyances, not least of all was a game-ending bug in the first level that made me restart the entire mission. Despite these issues, I really enjoyed the story that the campaign presents and I think it's the best of the series. The characters are well-crafted and the plot rarely disappoints.
