This being the first official news post of GorgeousGamers.com, we wanted to give everyone a re-cap on some of the best recent releases, and what we're looking forward to in 2010.

Best Recent Releases

There have been a few titles that have really captivated us over the past 5-6 months, each unique enough to hold our interest since they launched. The first being one of the greatest RPG games of all time; Dragon Age: Origins, the second being one of the best MMO's of 2009; League of Legends, and the third being an excellent FPS; Modern Warfare 2.

Here's a look at each title and what we found the most interesting:

1. Dragon Age: Origins - This game is an epic story, no not epic like cool, epic like grand, amazing, awesome, tubular etc. This game will take you back to the old days, Chrono Trigger, Illusion of Gaia, and old-school Zelda style. It's very easy to get emotionally involved with the characters and the story; and if that wasn't enough - the combat is amazing too.

The game mechanics are refreshing and add new elements that have been previously unexplored to this degree in an RPG, they make combat fun, and give players who enjoy strategizing and planning an extra fix.

It's a BioWare game, so there's also lots of side quests, morality challenging endeavors, and oh yea...Sex.

If you haven't played the game yet it's something you should pick up before it hit's the 29.99 rack - it's worth the extra expense.

2. League of Legends - The game mimics DotA in many ways, but offers a traditional 5v5 map that never gets old. There's over 40 playable champions, and every game is against 5 players (and if you have no friends; WITH 4 new players on your team QQ).

The object of the game is simple, destroy the other teams Towers, their Inhibitors, and their Nexus. You're pushing with your 4 friends, against 5 of them, and a whole slew of minions from both sides collide in a battlefield in the middle of the map, through proper use of your specific champions abilities (Every champion has several unique abilities) one team gains an advantage and the push goes one way or the other.

It's easy to put in 3-4 hours a night with this game -and the best part? It's free-to-play!

3. Modern Warfare 2 - Easily the best FPS to come out in a while. The game combines real weaponry, excellent team work, and lots of skill into an extremely fun way to spend 10-15 minutes...or a whole evening. Some of the more unique features include the ability to call on Killstreaks that give players who get enough kills without dying the ability to call in airstrikes, sentry guns, and even tactical nukes.

It's very easy to get into online matches and from the time you boot up to the time you get your first headshot is normally less than 4-5 minutes.

Hottest Potential In New Releases

2010's going to be a big year in gaming. Some of the biggest names are coming in the MMORPG space, with the possible release of titles like SW:TOR, FFXIV, and Starcraft 2. Each of these titles should hold something special for followers of the franchise and gamers in general.

SW:TOR - This game is being developed by BioWare and has some of the infamous decision making technology that's made their other games, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age etc, so popular. The game will take players into the Star Wars universe and allow them to play as a Jedi or a Sith - There are also several classes for each faction.

FFXIV - This game is being published by Square Enix, some say exclusively for the PS3 - but we'll see. The game will undoubtedly fulfill your longing for more from this incredibly popular franchise. Early videos prove that FFXIV is one of the most graphically able games of our time, and given the millions of logged hours on FFXI we expect great things from a company with this kind of knowledge and background. They recently announced beta signups, so players could see themselves in-game soon!

Starcraft 2 - 'nuff said? Almost! Players have seen the game at events like Blizzcon 2009, Pax 2009, and have been very impressed by the graphics, ui, and fluid combat experience in the latest Starcraft. Beta is supposed to begin Q1 of 2010, and should give players more insight into what Blizzards been working on all these years!
