I guess to introduce myself quickly; I love games and follow whets going on in the gaming industry. I generally try to be thoughtful and considered, but I'm not so great at thinking on my feet. I always try to be an optimist and look on the bright side of life. My main problem is I'm not always so good at talking to new people and I can be way too lazy at times. I've got a list of things to do over summer that mostly involve preparing for my final year at university. I also want to get back to doing regular exercise, while I'm not in bad shape, I could be better.
I've finnished my second year of my computer animation course in Teesside, in the north of England. Currently going into my third. I love all sorts of animation, but I want to focus on 3D character animation and hope to work for an awesome computer game company.
I was a gamer since I was about 6-7 years old with dune II and prince or persia on windows 3.1!
Then moved onto the PS1 with games like spyro, cros and gex. When I got my PS2 I kept on with mostly action/adventure games and played RTS games like RA2, Starcraft and Age of Empires. I was very annoyed when universal took a hold of the spyro licence and made a bad name of the series that insomniac made so great.
Got a Gamecube and Xbox, got a few games for the mostly under-appreciated gamecube, though the xbox got a lot of use thanks to halo.
A bit before I went to university, while doing an art foundation course I got hooked on guild wars, though generally I'm clean these days...
Now I'm dug into the current-gen with my PS3 and 360, as well as a PC that has been able to hack everything I've thrown at it (I'll point out now I haven't tried crysis)
Off the top of my head my current favorite games are:
Team Fortress 2
GTA IV
MGS4
Ratchet and Clank: Future tools of destruction
Motorstorm
I'm not even gonna try and do a propper list...
I think I'm allowed to post links to my work here, if not I'm verry sorry.
