| I've been gaming since Mortal Combat first hit the scene. I tend to play more PC games, but Gears of War has me consoling more than ever--I particularly enjoy head stomping.
Some things about me that are non-gaming related:
1. I watch a lot of anime.
2. I am an amazing cook.
3. I read everything from Richard Feynman to George R.R. Martin to comic books to historical fiction to the newspaper.
4. In a year, I will be teaching Religion, but my ultimate goal is to be a house bunny--you know, cooking and cleaning in spiked heels.
5. I love cheesy board and card games.
6. the middle toe on my left foot is longer than all nine other toes, and I can flip you off with it.
7. I climb rocks. And trees.
8. I like to distance run.
9. When I dream, I dream about killing zombies.
10. I'm on myspace, find me! |

| | Yes, it is almost the weekend. It's going to be a 3-day affair for me. A friend is coming up from Texas to visit.
I think I mentioned, before, that I'm going to be returning to grad school after a ten-year brake. Better late than never, though. I took a long detour (long story).
Ultimately, in scholarship, the prestigiousness of the school undeniably plays some part in your future placement, but hard work can pay off. It's also entirely possible after exemplary work in a Master's program to move into a more well-known Ph.D. program, especially if you hook up with a scholar that likes you and can grease the palms to get you in.
Are your papers something you'd be willing to share?
I wrote a somewhat similar paper to your third, except that it was in a class on German, Norse and Icelandic myths, sagas and legends. I compared Kirk Douglass's The Vikings to Tim Robbins's Erik the Viking. The latter was oddly, in some ways, truer to some of the original myths despite being a comedy. Both are worth watching. |

| | I can't recall. Did you tell me what graduate school you're going to?
What sort of papers are you writing now? |

| | So how is life and graduate school, sexy?
Work has been tough on this end. My health finally hit the skids and I had to take a couple of sick days last week. |

| | OMG! Where did you get those! I want them, hahaha.
All I have is my shirt that I'm wearing in one of my pictures that says "Schroedinger's Cat is Dead" on the front and "Schroedinger's Cat is Not Dead." on the back, it's fun. :)
I LOVE the Heisenberg one though. |
