I don't think it is in Japan. Not sure on that one though. It's definitely what got RPGs booming in the western world. Which is a bit sad, but it's all good now.

Riku from Kingdom Hearts. I hated him at first but once he saved Sora. With all the shit he goes through in the gap between KHs1 and KHs2 I gained alot of respect for the character. Was giddy when Riku and Sora teamed up to take on the final boss of the sequel.
