For me personally, I find it interesting that we have such a global membership and it interests me to talk to such a wide group of people. Whether it was learning about French pop from Rapture, historical debates with CoffinStomper, Asian disputes with Hamtaro/AkPinay, or even pointless absurdity with other members. I always feel like there is a healthy mix of intelligent debates, absurd laughter, and other things to kill my time. It is nice not to be confined to the nature of my natural enviroment/palce of residence. I haven't enjoyed this much diverse conversation since I was in the Marines.

I enjoy it. Like stated, it's a massively diverse place, and I get to indulge in absurdity that is more difficult in real life.

Since joining the site my perception has changed, what i mean by that is that through conversations and reading other people's responses to post i have never "been around" so many cool people who's hobbies expand my own and beyond it's a really nice feeling Thanks everyone! :)

met lots of cool people, the site helps me cope with my lonely midnight game sessions. overall im shocked how much more i enjoy this site then i expected the day i signed up....r.i.p shoutbox..:(. this is the only site i bother coming to for social reasons..i dont count facebook rele :/ lol...i use to have 1 other but for some reason they fucked it all up with a diff layout for mobile devices which pissed me off...even though ive only been here for about 7 months it feels like i been here forever :)

Pretty much what everyone else is saying. There aren't many people around where I live, or who I know at least, that have similar interests and hobbies as myself. It's lovely to come on here and meet people that you just automatically can talk to like you've known for years. I've been here just three weeks and already this site is slowly destroying the misanthropist within me! Well...until I walk out the door and get stumbled into by some drunken chav who then wants to fight me...But yayy for GG!

But for me it's been a place to lose myself for a bit, amongst different cultures and various levels of wierdness & hilarity. Was a great distraction for me after i'd left my ex girlfriend and came to terms with living without my kids. Unfortunately although this place has been a "crutch" i've found myself drifting gradually away. This is purely because i'm getting my life back in order and am finding other things to do but it's unlikely i'll disappear completely. sorry
