I am an ex-Marine looking for some cool people to play L4D1&2 with.
Out of all my friends only one plays and then only once in a while.
Holy Crap! Joining Campaign games of L4D2 sucks. No one knows how to play. It would also help if everyone had military training so they know what to do and how to set lines of fire.
Course I need to hook up my headset so I can help them learn.
And by help I mean yell.
And by learn I mean tell them to stop going the wrong way and help downed players.
M16, machette and pipe bombs for the win.
You don't have to be the best shot to play well, you just gotta know where to move, how to stick together, cover each other's asses, react quickly and correctly to bosses, and not horde first aid.
Simple.
Background info - I've played every home video game system from atari to PS1 and Game cube. Then I got a PC and haven't really played anything else since. A little xbox, PS2/3 and Wii at friends' houses but I still insist that PCs are better.
Every system I own has 1-5 games that only came out for that system and are still my favorites so I haven't gotten rid of any. Super Dodgeball on Super Nintendo, No Mercy on N64, etc.
I am a movie aficianado. I can do the seven degrees of Bacon without ever having been stumped. I see about 90% of movies that come out, even if they are lame, I will find something I liked about them, maybe a certain actor or a scene or a joke or a specific line. In addition to this affliction, I own over 600 DVDs and have lists of tons more I need.
Favorites - Gladiator, Fight Club, 300.
I watch way too much tv.
Favorites are - Lost, 24, 30 Rock, Always Sunny, Burn Notice, True Blood, Supernatural and Dexter.
I like almost all kinds of music. Rock, Metal, Techno, Rap, Dance, mostly anything but country or western. I have amassed over 11,000 mp3s on my computer that I would die without.
What I am listening to now - Black Eyed Peas, Timbaland, Hollywood Undead and the Police.
I read constantly, probably started 10 books in the last week and will finish them all within the month and start all over with more. Books I am reading now - Sookie Stackhouse series, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, just about anything by Stephen King - especially It and the Stand, Cool It by Bjorn Lomborg, Freakonomics by Steven Levitt, as well as the classics - Dune, Dragonlance Chronicles, Forgotten Realms Drizz't Do'Urden, the Harry Potter books.
I still collect comics. Favorites are - Batman, Hulk, Punisher, Deadpool, Invincible, Green Lantern, Flash, Secret Six, Irredeemable, Titans and JLA.
I plan monthly paintball games at Blastcamp in Valparaiso Indiana over the summer, I babysit my nephew and neice as much as I can, I am on the computer WAY too much, and play many role playing and board games with friends ( I have more fun making my own rules and tweaking their games than actually playing them )
I have a lot of friends but only a handful that I trust with my life. I am very shy but the center of attention when with people I know. If it wasn't for me, none of my friends would actually go out or plan anything, I am the one who is forced to do it all.
